About First Dials

A world of watches. A clearer way to find yours.

Great watches are spread across a fragmented dealer market. First Dials brings them into view — so you can see what's available and connect directly with the dealer selling it.

The problem

The watch you want may already be out there.

Finding it can mean searching countless websites, comparing scattered listings and checking again tomorrow. By the time you find the right watch, it may already have sold.

We created First Dials to make that search simpler: more visibility across dealers, easier discovery and a clearer route from finding a watch to speaking with its seller.

Our purpose

More access. More clarity. More opportunity.

The watch market should be easier to explore — whether you're buying your first significant watch or adding to an established collection.

Our purpose is to open up the market: help buyers see more of what's available, give dealers greater visibility, and reduce the frustration of finding an opportunity too late.

Price methodology

What the price evidence means

Reference pages summarise Australian listings priced at A$1,000 or more, first seen within the last 12 months and outside the public-access delay. A reference needs at least three eligible listings. Members may see newer stock, but the public statistics use the same age-eligible sample for everyone.

Sold-based Market Value is the median of at least three high-confidence verified-sale price records for that reference within 12 months. Otherwise, where available, we show a lower-confidence asking-price estimate. A listing marked sold does not establish the price paid. Not every watch has a benchmark, including on paid plans.

The chart’s asking series groups observed listing prices by the month First Dials first found the stock; it is not a continuous historical valuation. Verified-sale medians are a separate series. Missing months remain gaps, and the table shows each month’s sample counts.

Average days listed is observed listing duration, not confirmed selling time. Full-set premium compares median asking prices with at least three full-set and three watch-only observations; condition and age may differ. Evidence dates show recorded listing observations, sale dates or the stored asking estimate’s date—not the page’s refresh date.

These are opinion-only estimates, not appraisals or financial advice. Confirm price, availability, condition and provenance directly with the dealer.

Find your next watch. Be ready for your next buyer.

Whether you're searching for a watch or bringing exceptional pieces to market, First Dials makes the connection easier.
